Job summary

Duke Energy in the United States is seeking a Project Manager I or II to lead complex power projects across the South and West zones. The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, scheduling, and cost control to ensure successful delivery.

The position requires strong decision making, risk and stakeholder management, and a proven ability to coordinate diverse teams across engineering, construction, and operations, with hybrid work expectations at multiple NC/SC locations.

Qualifications

• PM I/II basic qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree with related experience.
• One of: HS diploma with 5+ years, or BS with 5+ years, or HS/GED with 9+ years.
• PM-related leadership, scheduling, cost control, and vendor coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coordination among internal and external teams (engineering, controls, supply chain, legal, EHS, QA/QC, operations).
• Lead project meetings and reports to ensure clear status communication to management.
• Plan scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and turnover to operations; manage procurement and contracts.
• Execute projects with focus on event-free and operations quality within scope, cost and schedule.
