CDM Smith is seeking an Entry Project Controls Specialist to join our Project Controls Team. This role supports planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project performance to help ensure on-time, on-budget project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in project management methodologies, be able to gather progress from team members, and contribute to financial analyses and reporting with guidance from seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; related experience may substitute.
• Entry-level project controls knowledge with Excel.
• Experience with EV or scheduling concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance and collects progress data to update project costs and baselines.
• Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs and requirements.
• Monitors progress of project deliverables and prepares routine financial reports.
• Develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated critical path schedules for portions of routine projects.
• Generates and analyzes earned value reports and discusses observations with supervisor.
• Uses document management protocols to store and retrieve project documentation.
