Job summary

Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. is seeking a Principal Full Stack Engineer in a hybrid role (2 onsite days) based in Boston, MA or Portsmouth, NH. You will design and build enterprise applications in the cloud, mentor teammates and set coding standards across the platform.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of full‑stack experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, AWS and REST APIs, and can lead cross‑functional delivery while ensuring performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of full stack development with Java, React, NodeJS and AWS.
• Experience with Java 8+ / 11 / 17, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and integration of cross‑platform enterprise applications.
• Mentor the technical design, development and best practices for the team.
• Define technology standards and architect large‑scale web solutions.
• Work with cross‑functional teams and vendors to deliver projects.
• Hands-on coding with emphasis on modernization, site reliability and API layers.
