Pitney Bowes is seeking a hybrid Area Technical Specialist for our Presort Services facilities. You will support site Technical Services to resolve escalations with urgency and focus on customer satisfaction, traveling as required and onsite when not traveling.

The role demands strong hands‑on technical training, equipment moves coordination, and collaboration with vendor teams to maintain peak production performance across multiple locations in the US.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a technician in a production environment with presort equipment.
• Willingness to travel at least 65% of the time.
• Strong understanding of various presort equipment and vendor operations.
• Proficiency in Octave and Microsoft Office applications.
• Solid mechanical and electronic maintenance knowledge across multiple presort production equipment types.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead equipment moves.
• Assist with MASS and MPE testing of the equipment.
• Collaborate with site teams and vendors to move, disassemble, reassemble, or scrap equipment.
• Conduct equipment assessments and ensure software is current.
• Provide hands‑on training, remote escalation support, and on‑site troubleshooting as needed.
• Analyze data to identify root causes and address issues.
• Document solutions in the escalation tracking tool.
• Support and contribute to improving the AI troubleshooting tool.
