Job summary

Matter Communications is seeking a creative, results-focused Assistant Account Executive to join our Boston team, supporting client PR programs across traditional and social channels. This role blends in-office collaboration Mon-Thurs with remote Fridays in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment.

You’ll produce client status reports, secure media opportunities, conduct media research, monitor client social feeds, and draft compelling communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience
• 1–2+ years of PR experience working with b2c clients
• Agency experience is a big plus
• Strong interest in tech and consumer fields
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic, team-oriented environment
• Ability to work with multiple clients simultaneously
• Excellent organizational skills
• Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for detail

Responsibilities

• Produce client status reports and briefing materials for meetings
• Secure client media opportunities in trade, consumer, business media and other outlets
• Conduct reliable and accurate media research and provide teams with industry-relevant news and research
• Monitor clients’ social media presence and draft social media posts on behalf of clients
• Produce strong written documents, including pitches, speaking opportunity abstracts, client communications, etc.
