LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal in Chicago, IL to support an attorney with all aspects of personal injury cases. The role emphasizes organization, case management, and trial support in a collaborative legal team.

The ideal candidate will have a paralegal certificate or relevant personal injury experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with legal software and MS Office. A hybrid work arrangement is available after training and adjustment to the role.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or relevant experience in personal injury law.
• Strong understanding of the litigation process and legal terminology.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
• Conduct case intake and gather essential client and case details.
• Manage client communication to provide updates and obtain necessary information.
• Organize and review medical records, police reports, and insurance documentation.
• Coordinate depositions, medical examinations, and court appearances.
• Maintain case files and ensure all relevant information is up-to-date.
• Prepare settlement demands and assist in negotiating settlements with insurance adjusters.
• Support attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, subpoenas, and witness lists.
• Track deadlines for filings, hearings, and discovery responses.
