Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a senior observability and site reliability engineer to support monitoring, performance optimization, and capacity planning at our Schaumburg, IL hybrid site.

You will implement observability tools, collaborate with software engineers, and drive automation to scale resources while maintaining security and compliance.

The role requires 4+ years in SRE/APM with Dynatrace, CI/CD, Linux, and cloud proficiency; we offer strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with multiple APM tools and extensive experience with Dynatrace.
• 3+ years SRE experience in software development, infrastructure, or operations roles.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. AWS, DevOps, Kubernetes, Dynatrace, Azure, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems; scripting in Python/Bash/Go.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain robust observability solutions to monitor system performance, identifying bottlenecks and ensuring optimal operation.
• Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks; work with development teams to implement improvements.
• Conduct capacity planning based on observed patterns and future growth projections.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and resource provisioning.
• Document system architecture, configurations, and observability best practices for onboarding.
