Qualifications

• Must be an MD.
• Experience is preferred.
• Completion of Residency program in Pediatrics.
• Completion of Fellowship program in Pediatric Endocrinology.
• Current or immediate eligibility for Alaska Medical License.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage hormonal disorders related to dietary needs, such as diabetes and obesity.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of endocrine glands and their role in adolescent growth and development.
• Analyze records, reports and examination information to monitor patients' condition, progress and treatment.
• Collect and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports, and exam results.
• Provide on-call services as necessary.
• Identify serious or specialized illness or injuries and refer patients to the necessary specialist.
• Maintain successful working relationships with nurses and other medical facility staff.
• Participate in occasional and reasonable amounts of teaching and educational activities.
