Job summary

Dark Wolf Solutions seeks an experienced Penetration Tester to help secure hardware, software, and embedded systems. The role combines hands-on testing with exploit development and security assessments in a hybrid office environment in Colorado Springs, CO.

You will conduct penetration tests, risk assessments, and reporting, work with cross‑domain teams, and contribute to remediation strategies while maintaining US citizenship and an active Secret level clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience across multiple areas: intelligence analysis, network engineering, networking security, penetration testing, red team, hardware engineering, software engineering, exploit development, reverse engineering, vulnerability assessment, physical security assessments, or social engineering.
• Proficiency with cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in testing and assessment of mobile operating systems, embedded systems, and IoT devices.
• Experience drafting reports, documenting case details, and summarizing findings and recommendations based on system analysis.
• Experience performing advanced vulnerability scanning and assessments on all components and web app security (OWASP Top Ten, API testing).
• US Citizenship and active security clearance at Secret level.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration testing on hardware, software, and network components.
• Perform advanced vulnerability scanning and assessments on all components.
• Cybersecurity evaluation of the product under test to identify vulnerabilities affecting confidentiality, integrity, or availability.
• Analyze software, firmware, hardware, and RF components.
• Develop and execute exploits and PoC attacks to demonstrate impact.
• Analyze and reverse engineer firmware and embedded systems.
• Test secure boot processes and TEEs.
• Conduct web app security assessments focusing on OWASP Top Ten and API security testing.
• Manual verification of vulnerabilities, assess risk and exploitability.
• Engage in wireless and RF security testing (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee).
• Utilize SDR for protocol reverse engineering and testing.
• Report findings and provide remediation recommendations.
• Plan and execute cross-domain vulnerability assessments, network pen tests, and phishing/social engineering campaigns.
