Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing/Transportation Solutions, based in Reading, PA, seeks a Payroll Accounting Project Manager to lead payroll accounting projects, perform financial analysis, and ensure compliant, efficient processes across Payroll, Finance, HR, IT and Legal. This role partners with internal teams and external service providers to optimize controls and reporting.

You will manage end-to-end initiatives from requirements gathering to post-deployment review, focusing on recurring accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, project management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of payroll accounting, accounting, or finance experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects or system implementations.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll accounting and payroll-related projects from planning through implementation.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, HR, IT, Benefits, Legal, and external vendors.
• Develop monitoring processes and controls to support payroll accounting accuracy and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and automate manual activities.
• Provide status updates and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
