Information Management Resources, Inc. (IMRI) seeks a part-time Senior Penetration Tester to support enterprise penetration testing and cybersecurity assessments.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, identifying exploitable weaknesses, validating attack paths, and delivering actionable remediation guidance within approved rules of engagement. Hybrid or onsite in Nassau County, NY, with standard business hours and occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity assessment, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or related areas.
• Experience with Horizon3.ai and secure reporting practices.
• Strong written communication and executive briefing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on internal and external penetration testing and security testing activities.
• Support approximately 900 hours of annual senior penetration testing for various departments.
• Coordinate with government IT, legal, and stakeholders to minimize disruption.
• Use automated and manual testing tools within approved rules of engagement.
• Analyze findings using risk-based methods aligned to NIST CSF, SP 800-53, and related standards.
• Develop detailed technical findings, attack-path narratives, and remediation recommendations.
• Participate in client briefings, remediation planning, retesting, and knowledge transfer.
