Tanaq Environmental, LLC is seeking a Project Geologist I (Part-time) to support geologic and hydrogeologic investigations for environmental restoration and emerging contaminants projects for federal government and commercial clients, under supervision of a registered Project Geologist.

This hybrid remote role is based anywhere in the U.S. with travel 60% annually, requiring coordination with geologists, engineers, and field technicians on drilling, monitoring wells, sampling, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Hydrogeology.
• PG or RPG certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related geology experience.
• 3+ years overseeing field safety programs.
• 1–2 years as Field Lead, supervising staff.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Valid driver's license and clean record.
• Ability to travel 60%+ annually.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead geologic and hydrogeologic investigations.
• Direct field teams for drilling, sampling, and inspections.
• Log soil samples and prepare boring logs.
• Support reports on geology, hydrogeology, and contaminants.
• Coordinate procurement with drilling subcontractors.
• Develop site remediation strategies.
• Lead groundwater and soil sampling for lab analysis.
