Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian for a part-time, hybrid role in Pennsylvania. The position offers a flexible schedule across two facilities with on-site and remote work, and pay ranges from $32.00 to $38.00 per hour based on experience.

Primary duties include comprehensive nutritional assessments, care plan development, education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Current Pennsylvania state licensure/certification as required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to assess objectives and develop, implement, and monitor effective plans for improvement.
• Proficiency in providing general nutrition interventions.
• Familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition care regulations.
• Competency in electronic charting systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on new admissions and quarterly thereafter.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure compliance with CMS/DOH regulations.
• Monitor residents' weight changes weekly or monthly.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits.
• Review and approve menus semi-annually.
• Perform other tasks as assigned and within scope of practice.
