Job summary

PTF Consulting, LLC is seeking a Paralegal or early-career Associate Attorney for a part-time hybrid role in Fredericksburg, VA. You will support civil matters, draft documents, conduct legal research, and coordinate with the firm owner to move matters forward efficiently.

Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in civil litigation, contract drafting, and client engagement, with potential transition to full-time in the future. Strong writing and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

Civil law practice experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, law, or related field, or significant paralegal civil practice experience.
Current law school students will be considered.
Experience with legal research and drafting required.
Strong writing, grammar, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Word and Excel; familiarity with FindLaw, MyCase, WealthCounsel is a plus.
Experience in civil litigation, contract drafting, and personal injury claims is a plus.
Commitment to confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

Provide general support and day-to-day operations assistance.
Draft legal documents and correspondence.
Conduct legal research to support case prep and client matters.
Communicate with clients and collaborate with the firm owner.
Assist with administrative tasks and coordination across the practice.
For Associate Attorneys: work directly with clients and appear in court when appropriate.
