Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University in Timonium, MD is seeking a Clinical Nurse to support outpatient cardiology/EP lab physicians with comprehensive patient care. You will handle chart prep, EPIC documentation, orders, and coordination with schedules.

Ideal candidates hold Maryland RN licensure with CPR/BLS, and have or be willing to obtain cardiology experience. The role is hybrid at Greenspring Station with a standard Mon-Fri schedule.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN license required or eligible.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Additional education may substitute for required experience; related experience may substitute for required education per policy.

Responsibilities

• Review physician EPIC inboxes daily and triage accordingly.
• Pend new medications and refills in Epic for physician signature.
• Assist with ordering patient labs and tests in Epic for physician review.
• Coordinate with cardiology scheduling to arrange tests as needed.
• Assist in completion of prior authorizations.
• Follow up on lab/test results and notify physicians and patients as appropriate.
• Prepare physicians for outpatient clinic appointments and ensure records are scanned into Epic.
• Populate patient history in EPIC prior to appointments.
• Document patient encounters and update histories during clinic visits as needed.
• Support development/updating of unit protocols and care maps.
