Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Drafting Technologist III in Duluth, MN, on a 1-year contract with hybrid work. You will develop and maintain engineering drawings across mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation domains, translating field data into compliant CAD deliverables.

The role requires at least 5 years in oil & gas drafting, experience with AutoCAD (Revit a plus), and the ability to interpret field redlines and project docs within a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years drafting experience in oil and gas.
• Experience across mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation disciplines.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.
• Experience developing and updating P&IDs, plots, layouts.
• Ability to interpret field redlines and project docs.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage priorities.
• Contract/remote or distributed team experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings across disciplines.
• Translate concepts, deliverables, and field redlines into CAD drawings.
• Incorporate site markups, photos, and as-built information.
• Ensure drawings comply with Enbridge drafting standards (DS 001–003).
• Support Issued for Construction (IFC) and As-Built packages.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, field teams, and external providers.
• Maintain drawing control and revision history throughout projects.
• Support multi-project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
