Job summary

CloudHive is seeking a Snowflake Data Architect to lead and deliver enterprise-grade Snowflake solutions for a financial services client. The role blends architectural leadership with hands-on delivery, focusing on performance optimization, medallion remodeling, Cortex deployments, and platform upgrades.

You will partner with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to drive architectural decisions, ensure security and governance, and scale the Snowflake environment across production

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise Snowflake architectures.
• Hands-on expertise in Snowflake performance tuning and cost management.
• Experience remodeling medallion architectures and data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex, including production workloads.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling, transformation, and ETL/ELT.
• Experience expanding Snowflake environments while maintaining production stability.
• Understanding of data security, governance, in regulated environments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into architectural designs and work with engineers.
• Delivery experience in financial services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code for data platforms.
• Experience establishing monitoring, documentation, and support for production data and AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Snowflake optimization: Improve query performance, warehouse sizing, WM, and cost efficiency.
• Medallion architecture remodeling: Redesign bronze, silver, and gold layers for quality and usability.
• Snowflake Cortex delivery: Move Cortex use cases from development to production with ops support.
• Platform upgrades and expansion: Plan and deliver enhancements and onboarding of new data sources.
• Security and governance: Align architecture with access controls, data protection, and governance standards.
• Technical leadership: Collaborate with data engineering and analytics to define priorities and document decisions.
