Pathos is building the first AI native biotech platform, turning massive multimodal datasets into foundation models and live agents that transform how drug development is done. We are hiring an engineer to architect and ship the Pathos AI and data infrastructure to power BD, clinical development, computational biology, and lab teams with broad ownership.

This hybrid role requires rapid delivery, strong system-level judgment, and experience shipping production-grade AI workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software, ML, or product engineering experience building systems
• Fluent in Python and TypeScript in production
• Experience with production-grade APIs, eventing, and data engineering, ideally cloud native on GCP or similar
• Own services end to end: architecture, implementation, testing, and observability

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship Pathos AI and data infrastructure
• Power core products and agents for BD, clinical development, computational biology, and lab teams
• Provide full ownership across prototype, iterate, ship, and maintain phases
• Collaborate with end users to shape products from zero to one
