Job summary

The National Partnership for Women & Families in Washington, DC, invites applications for a Development Intern to assist the Development team with fundraising and operations. The internship runs January through May and operates in a hybrid office environment in Washington, DC.

You will gain exposure to individual philanthropy, institutional giving, marketing and communications, and development operations, while receiving mentorship and collaborating with interns from other departments.

Qualifications

• Interest or prior experience in nonprofit development fundraising or operations.
• Strong writing, communication, research, analysis and computer skills.
• Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple tasks for different projects.
• A commitment to the National Partnership’s mission to improve the lives of women and families by achieving equality for all women.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support across Individual Philanthropy, Institutional Relations, and Development Operations, including CRM/data support, donor and funder research, and general project coordination.
• Conduct prospect research and develop funder and donor profiles to support fundraising efforts.
• Organize fundraising and campaign information for effective presentation in publications, websites, and other media.
• Support the planning of our Annual Event.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and other activities that support the Development team's work.
