Job summary

Pedernales Electric Cooperative is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Compliance Specialist in Cedar Park, TX. The role supports the Compliance and Regulatory Department in maintaining adherence to NERC CIP standards across OT and IT environments that power PEC’s transmission and distribution systems.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of related experience in NERC/CIP, cyber security compliance, or IT/network administration, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Three years of directly related experience including NERC, CIP, cyber security compliance, IT systems administration or network administration background experience.
• Directly related experience may substitute for education.
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Inspect and review data for accuracy to maintain compliance with NERC CIP Standards for OT/IT environments.
• Analyze reporting from automated systems and IT/SCADA groups to ensure compliance.
• Verify OS updates, patches, and configuration changes per NERC standards.
• Verify baseline documentation is updated per standards.
• Verify system diagrams and documentation for hardware/software changes.
• Verify system backups and offsite storage procedures for compliance.
• Participate in performance audits of system architecture and integrations.
• Lead cross-functional teams to gather reliability and compliance data.
• Maintain knowledge of NERC/Texas RE requirements to update policies and procedures.
