Platinum Technologies is seeking a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to lead secure cloud architecture across Azure and AWS for DoD programs. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance, 12+ years in enterprise cloud, and expertise with IaC and security best practices.

You will design greenfield environments, implement secure cloud solutions, and collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, and application teams to ensure RMF compliance and mission success.

Qualifikationen

• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• At least five years designing and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience with Azure and AWS hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on with Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Purview, and AVD.
• Proficient in IaC tools and cloud automation (Terraform, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, etc.).

Platinum Technologies currently has an opportunity for a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to support mission-critical DoD programs. This role will lead the architecture, engineering, implementation, and sustainment of secure hybrid cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS, combining strategic design with hands-on engineering and collaboration across technical and cybersecurity teams.

This role is located in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. Candidate must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance at the time of hire.

What you get to do.

• Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure hybrid cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Design and deploy greenfield cloud environments to support DoD mission requirements.
• Develop secure, scalable, resilient cloud architectures aligned with DoD cybersecurity guidance and Zero Trust principles.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools.
• Design and administer Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Server, Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Purview, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Engineer secure network integrations between on-premises infrastructure and Azure and AWS environments.
• Implement cloud-native monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and security services.
• Automate cloud deployments and operations with PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems engineering, networking, and application development teams.
• Support accreditation and compliance with DoD security policies, NIST guidance, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend solutions that support mission objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers as needed.

Required Skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance at the time of hire.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• At least five years of experience architecting and implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Demonstrated experience architecting hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises systems with Azure and AWS.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Purview, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience with enterprise endpoint security, device compliance, application deployment, endpoint configuration, data governance, information protection, and DLP.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
• Experience automating cloud administration using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Azure CLI, and/or AWS CLI.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, enterprise security, Zero Trust, NIST cybersecurity guidance, and RMF.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in dynamic, mission-focused engineering teams.
• Familiarity with cloud-connected endpoints, remote users, virtual devices, and non-persistent endpoints.
