Job summary

Johnston & Murphy is seeking a Merchandising Manager to drive assortment strategy across stores and eCommerce. You will lead a team to optimize sales, margin, and inventory productivity while upholding the brand position in collaboration with Design, Planning, Marketing, and Retail Ops.

The ideal candidate will translate consumer insights and market trends into compelling assortments and growth opportunities, traveling occasionally to stores as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business or related field.
• 4+ years merchandising or buying experience, preferably footwear/apparel.
• Experience managing assortments across retail and eCommerce.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandise and inventory management to drive sales and profitability.
• Develop forecasts, inventory plans, and seasonal buy strategies by category.
• Communicate projections and inventory needs to sourcing teams.
• Determine SKU breadth and store-level allocation based on performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate insights into assortments.
