Job summary

KE|AD Building Consultants in Washington is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer with a strong background in plumbing and mechanical systems. This role blends engineering analysis, project management, field investigations, and client interaction.

The successful candidate will design and evaluate domestic water, sanitary sewer, venting, and related piping, oversee project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and contribute to forensic investigations of existing structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• FE/EIT certification or Washington State P.E. license.
• 5+ years of experience with building plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of Washington State plumbing and building codes.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess building plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Design domestic water, sanitary sewer, venting, and related piping systems.
• Analyze system performance, code compliance, and repair options.
• Prepare technical reports, engineering recommendations, and project documentation.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Conduct field inspections, investigations, and construction observations.
• Coordinate with designers, laboratory staff, contractors, and project teams.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development efforts.
