The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with experience in industrial automation, mechanical design, and GD&T. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Industrial automation experience a plus.
Mechanical design and DFX, particularly with respect to sheet metal, machining, and weldments.
Robotics experience a plus.
2D drawing creation, GD&T.
PLM.
Tolerance analysis.
Sustaining engineering.
Responsibilities
Provide DFX knowledge to optimize designs for manufacturability, serviceability, and sustainability.
Work well with clients and as a key member on large project teams.
Communicate clearly with team members, senior management, and the client throughout the project.
Be familiar with the latest product development and rapid prototype methodologies.
Estimate resource requirements, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.
Balance strategic planning and tactical execution.
Resolve conflicts among resources and between clients and engineering teams.
Monitor project progress and participate in problem resolutions.
Keep privileged information private and confidential.
Be proficient in the latest SolidWorks CAD package.
Travel as needed.
