Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Maths Educator for the Senior Phase (Grades 7-9) in Gauteng. The role combines in-person teaching with remote support to deliver high-quality mathematics instruction.

You will plan engaging lessons, assess learners, and collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum delivery. A PGCE/B.Ed and SACE registration are required, with experience in the South African curriculum and hybrid teaching preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognized teaching qualification with specialization in Mathematics.
• Registered with SACE to teach in South Africa.
• Experience teaching Mathematics to Senior Phase learners (Grades 7-9).
• Strong knowledge of the SA National Curriculum for Mathematics.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to inspire students.
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid teaching model.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver maths lessons aligned with the SA National Curriculum for Grades 7-9.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
• Create and administer assessments to evaluate progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain accurate learner records including attendance and progress.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom and collaborate with staff.
