WMC-TV, part of Gray Media, Inc., seeks a Director/Technical Media Producer in Memphis, TN. This hybrid role directs live newscasts and handles automation, master control, and FCC compliance.

The candidate should be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working with the newsroom team in a fast-paced environment. The role involves operating multiple production systems, managing ingest/playback, coordinating live shots, and ensuring smooth digital/web workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in journalism, film, mass communication, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in journalism, production, media, or related fields.
• Ability to prioritize complex tasks and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Direct live and pre-recorded newscasts and productions; monitor on-air streams.
• Operate switchers, automation, graphics, audio, prompter, and PTZ cameras.
• Utilize Ross OverDrive, VizRT, and related production/master control equipment.
• Ingest and playback commercial/promo content and segments; basic editing.
• Coordinate live shots via satellite/ENG/bonded cellular and feeds.
• Support web/digital workflows and FCC log compliance.
• Work within NRCS; familiarity with ENPS.
• Maintain knowledge of studio, control room and production-area equipment.
