Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Vienna, VA is seeking a hands-on lead application engineer to own and stabilize Field and Clinical Applications, including Encompass POS and EEHR ecosystems.

You will drive complex integrations, vendor collaboration, and architecture planning while mentoring a team across onshore/offshore resources. The role requires 10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS/PMS, strong C#/.NET, REST, Azure, and SQL skills, and proven leadership in observability and incident management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related field.
• 10+ years building and operating enterprise SaaS/PMS.
• Experience leading 2–3 engineering teams including offshore.
• Observability platforms experience (Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog, Grafana/Prometheus).
• Integration experience: REST/SOAP APIs, Windows services, message queues, EDI.
• Proficient in C#/.NET, REST APIs, Azure, and SQL.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system stability for Encompass, EEHR, and related apps.
• Lead deep technical triage across DB, app, infra, network, and monitoring layers.
• Validate vendor scripts for correctness, production safety, and data integrity.
• Drive incident management and RCA for multi-clinic outages with internal teams and vendor resources.
• Assess vendor release impact across downstream systems and coordinate validation.
• Own and evolve the integration architecture between Encompass, EEHR, and third-party platforms.
• Establish and mature observability across systems with metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
• Mentor and lead engineers, ensure delivery cadence and quality within budget.
• Champion business/clinical needs throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with PMO and EA to align with standards and portfolio priorities.
• Lead onshore/offshore teams to ensure delivery within budget.
