Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; alternate degrees considered with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS Workbench; familiarity with ANSYS Mechanical (APDL).

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish design and analysis plans from preliminary through final design, translating performance and structural requirements into compliant engineering solutions using lessons learned and best practices.
  • Qualify component designs using ANSYS-based thermal and structural FEA, closedform analytical methods, and Westinghouse internal engineering codes.
  • Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, and component teams to ensure subsystem integration and resolve design and production issues.
  • Demonstrate technical acument, delivering highquality engineering work that meets safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
