Job summary

Homesteaders Life Company is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to support branding and marketing across print and digital assets. You will execute within brand standards, templates and creative direction, assisting with presentations, collateral, social media and internal communications.

The role involves day-to-day production, including print ordering, asset maintenance, and photo editing, with opportunities to grow as design capabilities expand and new projects arise.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in graphic or digital design.
• 0-1+ years of professional or internship experience in graphic design, marketing, advertising or related field preferred.
• Portfolio or 2-3 work samples demonstrating graphic design skills.
• High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Canva and templates.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint for professional presentations.
• Working knowledge of print production.
• Familiarity with social media and digital design disciplines.
• Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools, such as Claude, to support workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute print and digital design assets within brand standards and templates.
• Design, format and maintain presentation materials; translate data into charts and graphics.
• Support print production and collateral management; prepare print-ready files.
• Design visuals for digital channels; maintain brand consistency across formats.
• Edit, resize and retouch photography for print and digital use.
• Leverage Adobe CC, Canva, PowerPoint and Claude to improve workflows.
• Collaborate with leadership to execute creative direction and revisions.
• Develop knowledge and skills through feedback and emerging design practices.
