Tiye Consulting seeks a seasoned Java Engineer to define software requirements, write clean code, and run tests across the SDLC. You will migrate legacy monolithic apps to modern technologies and support multiple interfaces within JIS, while shaping scalable, secure REST/SOAP services.
You will work with event-driven microservices, Spring/Hibernate, JSF/PrimeFaces, and Oracle 12C, delivering accurate Jira estimates and robust unit tests to ensure quality and performance.
Job Brief:
A JAVA Engineer defines software requirements, writing clean and efficient code for various applications and running tests to improve system functionality. JAVA engineers will implement and maintain JAVA components and frameworks throughout the software development life cycle.
Responsibilities:
Providing development services for the mandated support and enhancements of multiple interfaces and applications within JIS. Support and enhancement will include migrating legacy monolithic applications into more modern technologies
Designing and developing code, unit testing code, and providing support during test cycle post-production
Preparing regular and ad hoc reports including: weekly project report of progress and status, weekly time report, and additional reports as requested
Experience with reverse engineering and refactoring code, distributed event streaming platforms, maintaining and developing web applications front ends using react, JSF/PrimeFaces, and developing scalable, secure, access-controlled Java SOAP and REST service APIs and implementations
Proven knowledge and practical application of: Java 8 and above, Spring (Framework, Data JPA, Security, Scheduler), Hibernate (JPA, Validator), JSF (Primefaces), Oracle 12C and higher, Junit Framework, JMeter, Web Services, slf4j, JavaScript, PERL, XML, and HTML
Designing and documenting the approach for major use cases before coding
Articulating and finding ways to add unit test/integrated tests to legacy systems using Junit and Mockito to debug issues
Providing accurate estimates for Jira tasks using Scrum development process
Documenting the legacy system code and approach used with flow diagrams
Understanding and capability to code in event driven, microservices, and SOA architectures
Skills Required:
B.S. in Computer Science or related field
Eight (8) or more years’ experience as a Full Stack Java Engineer (application, integration, solution)
Hands on coding experience including: two (2) or more years with event driven architecture, three (3) or more years with Microservices architecture, and four (4) or more years with legacy monolithic architectures
Four (4) or more years hands on experience migrating from one framework to another
Knowledge of scalability options and best practices
Court case management experience
Ability to quickly evaluate, learn and prototype new technologies
Ability to critically think and problem solve
