Job summary

Gotham Technology Group is seeking an IT Operations / Systems Engineer to sustain a high-availability hybrid infrastructure (Azure + on-prem). This hands-on role ensures performance, reliability, and scalability in a fast-paced environment, covering systems, cloud, networking, and automation.

The ideal candidate will have 3–7+ years in IT operations, strong hybrid/cloud experience, and a solid foundation in Windows/Linux, virtualization, IAM, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years in IT operations or systems engineering.
• Hybrid environments with Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable.
• Experience with Windows Server and/or Linux, virtualization, networking.
• IAM, monitoring tools, and zero-trust/security awareness.
• Storage experience (Dell EMC / Dell APEX) and DR planning.
• Familiar with ITSM tools and ITIL processes.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day IT infrastructure operations across servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; proactively resolve issues.
• Triage incidents across servers, networks, storage, and applications.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
• Assist with Azure/AWS and on-prem deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
• Automate tasks via scripting and IaC tools.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Document systems, processes, and incident responses.
• Collaborate with teams on deployments and infrastructure changes.
• Support backup, DR, and business continuity testing.
