Job summary
AuguStar Life is seeking an IT Compute Storage Engineer to support the day-to-day operation, security, availability, and lifecycle management of the organization’s server, virtualization, storage, backup, recovery, and related infrastructure.
The role requires responsive incident handling, provisioning, patching, and ongoing improvements, with on-call duties and a hybrid or remote work option for candidates located near Cincinnati.
Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of progressively responsible IT infrastructure experience in an enterprise environment.
- Experience administering Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, and core infrastructure services.
- Knowledge of IT service management and change-management processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers and storage.
- Respond to incidents, changes, and service requests in line with SLAs.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance.
- Contribute to infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and DR exercises.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
