AmLaw Firm in California seeks an Associate Attorney for Trademark, Copyright & Media Counseling. Hybrid work model in CA offices (Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Palo Alto) with litigation and counseling responsibilities for high-profile IP matters.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of substantive trademark and copyright litigation experience, strong trial skills, and a track record from an AmLaw 100 environment. Excellent writing and client-relations abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
• 2+ years of substantive experience in trademark & copyright litigation and counseling.
• Strong trial experience in fast-paced, high-volume practices.
• AmLaw Experience: relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm preferred.
• Exceptional writing, analytical and strategic thinking; client-first mindset; excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Counsel clients on the development, protection, commercialization, licensing, and enforcement of trademark and copyright assets.
• Advise clients regarding trademark clearance, prosecution strategies, and portfolio management.
• Handle trademark and copyright disputes and litigation matters as needed.
• Provide guidance on trademark and copyright ownership, licensing, and fair use issues.
• Draft and negotiate intellectual property provisions in commercial and corporate transactions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, briefs, memoranda, agreements, and client communications.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering strategic, business-focused legal counsel.
• Collaborate with attorneys and business professionals across multiple practice groups to develop innovative solutions for clients.
• Remain current on developments in trademark, copyright, media, and intellectual property law.
