Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan invites undergraduate or graduate students in computer science or computer engineering to join as an Application Development Intern in Okemos, Michigan. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and completed at least one course in programming (Java/Python/C++ or similar).
• Experience with web front-end tech and REST-based services is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on cutting-edge, large scale, enterprise business application platforms.
• Contribute to next-generation platform with browser-based clients (Angular) and Java REST services, scalable back-end systems.
• Gain experience with architectures such as SOA, EDA, Web frameworks, REST, JSON, Kafka, and containerization.
• Apply fundamentals from CS/engineering to real-world problems.
• Communicate your work to other teams and develop skills explaining technical topics to a business audience.
