Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead audit teams across enterprise-wide audits. You will drive risk assessments, plan procedures, test controls and report results to leadership.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data analytics and adherence to IIA standards in a hybrid office setting. The ideal candidate has strong audit leadership, exposure to GRC platforms, and a background in accounting/finance with insurance familiarity.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or related field; 5+ years audit experience.
• Public accounting (Big Four) experience preferred.
• MBA or CPA/CIA/CISA preferred.
• Experience with GRC systems (Workiva WDesk, Highbond, Audit Board, ServiceNow).
• Experience leading multiple audits in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Experience using data analytics and AI-enabled tools in audit/risk management.
• Understanding of insurance company operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct administration of multiple audit teams across audits, scheduling and resource management.
• Lead assessments of complex processes to identify risks and plan audits.
• Prepare concise audit work papers with scope, methodology and conclusions.
• Present irregularities to leadership with remediation timelines.
• Monitor remediation actions, validate corrective actions and escalate delays.
• Coach audit staff on plans, testing and reporting timely.
• Leverage data analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve audit efficiency.
