The role is hybrid—3 days in the office—with a base salary up to $160,000. Responsibilities include drafting coverage positions, handling pleadings, and contributing to case strategy under supervision.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of relevant insurance coverage experience.
• Illinois bar admission in good standing.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Strong coverage analysis and insurance coverage litigation skills, including legal research and writing.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and meet a 2,000 billable-hour average.

Responsibilities

• Draft and analyze insurance coverage positions, including reservations of rights and coverage opinions.
• Handle insurance coverage litigation tasks including pleadings, motion practice, and written discovery.
• Support depositions, hearings, and broader case strategy under attorney supervision, with increasing responsibility based on experience.
• Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders regarding coverage issues, litigation status, and risk considerations.
