Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm located in Detroit, MI is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract role focused on designing and implementing an innovative Internal Developer Platform. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in Platform Engineering and strong skills in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and OPA, as well as Azure cloud experience. This hybrid position allows for in-office work on selected days, providing a dynamic working environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
• 2+ years’ experience working with Azure cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve an Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Create paved roads balancing developer autonomy with organizational standards.
• Implement automated workflows and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure management.
• Collaborate with application teams to understand needs and shape platform interfaces.
• Embed security and compliance into platform workflows.
