Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a System Administrator to support Slingshot hardware and software validation. You will work on a hybrid schedule, troubleshoot prototypes, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure maximum uptime across development systems.

The role requires a strong background in Linux, networking, and batch compute clusters, plus scripting in Shell or Python.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 4-6 years experience as a system and/or network administrator and lab technician.
  • Experience with Linux servers, networks, and filesystems; batch compute clusters (LSF, Slurm).
  • Scripting ability in Shell/Bash and Python; hardware lab environment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Debug and fix prototype and Slingshot system issues to maximize uptime.
  • Collaborate with ASIC, hardware, and software teams to enable silicon validation and bring-up testing.
  • Maintain daily updates of development software stack on systems.
  • Build compute node images with latest OS and software stacks.
  • Administer compute cluster for system validation team and contribute to issue resolution.
