Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Payload System Safety Engineer in Houston, TX. The role coordinates with Payload Developers to ensure safety processes are completed for flight and payload hazard report closure.

The position reports to the Safety Manager within Operations and is hybrid based in Houston, Texas. You will review payload data, develop safety data packages, and conduct safety reviews with panels.

Qualifications

• Broad engineering experience across payloads, structures, and systems.
• Experience applying systems engineering to payload designs with multi-disciplinary configurations.
• NASA badge or eligibility is preferred.
• Knowledge of NASA safety requirements and processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with NASA websites eHMST, IHS, SRAG is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review Payload Data and develop Payload Safety Data Packages.
• Coordinate with Payload Developer to obtain data for safety compliance.
• Develop Payload Safety Hazard Reports and ensure closure.
• Conduct reviews with Safety Review Panels.
• Provide reports and mitigation recommendations.
• Prepare and present technical presentations.
