Job summary

The Association of Academic Museums & Galleries is seeking a Development Officer and Grant Writer for the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art at Utah State University. Qualifications

  • Four years of direct fundraising experience and/or grant writing at a university or non-profit level.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates museum fundraising activities with USU Advancement staff.
  • Fosters relationships between the museum, board members, donors, and grant sources.
  • Plans and executes fundraising activities that promote the museum.
  • Manages a growing membership program to enhance donor engagement.
  • Demonstrates leadership and collaboration within the University Advancement Team.

Skills

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Analytical and research skills
Knowledge of information technology for advancement programs
Ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Knowledge of fundraising software and/or CRM systems

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
