Sysco is seeking a Government Relations Analyst to support federal, state and local advocacy by researching policy issues, tracking bills and preparing reports. The Analyst will work with the Director of Government Relations to develop position papers and collateral for internal and external audiences.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence 3–4 days per week in Houston, TX, with up to 25% travel. A bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of legislative or research experience are preferred, along

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• 1–3 years of legislative, research, or administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. food service distribution or related industries is a plus.
• Strong written communication and ability to summarize complex policy issues.

Aufgaben

• Support government relations team with in-depth research on legislative and regulatory issues at local, state, and federal levels.
• Develop legislative reports and updates to keep the organization informed of key developments.
• Develop arguments on public policy issues to advance Sysco’s position.
• Create collateral for advocacy efforts including letters, testimony, briefing papers, position papers, and regulatory comment letters.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory activity and provide timely updates to team members.
