Job summary

District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) in Washington, DC, is seeking a GIS Technical Lead to guide enterprise ESRI‑based mapping and data standardization initiatives. You will lead development of ESRI web maps, convert legacy data, and partner with IT and business teams to deliver scalable GIS solutions.

The role requires 5–7 years of ArcGIS experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong Python, SQL, and ESRI tool skills.

Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of experience with ArcGIS and other GIS tools.
  • Advanced GIS modeling, spatial analysis, and spatial data design.
  • Experience with databases and spatial data design and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Administers ArcGIS Enterprise environment including maintenance, upgrades, and support.
  • Develops ESRI applications, Interfaces and Add-ons for enterprise apps.
  • Collaborates with DBAs, Network and IT Infrastructure teams.
  • Implements new ESRI products and third‑party add-ons per business demand.
  • Performs REST, .NET, Python, SQL based custom interface development.
  • Supports asset management program design and GIS layer optimization.
  • Loads and maintains assets; supports field applications and customer data updates.
  • Automates high-impact, repetitive tasks with cross‑functional IT teams.
  • Provides GIS support to a wide array of users.
