Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a GIS Technical Specialist to join the Geospatial Data Maintenance group within its Transmission and Distribution unit in Pomona, CA. The role focuses on in-depth GIS data review, data remediation, process improvements, and support for mapping, quality control, and GPS data collection.

The position operates in a hybrid work mode with on-site facility days and some remote work, requiring residency in California.

Qualifications

Three or more years of GIS experience or data analysis.
Experience reading maps and civil drawings a plus.
Proficiency with SAP and relational databases.
Strong communication and ethics.

Responsibilities

Conducts interpretation and analysis tasks to extract information from geospatial data sources.
Supports data resolution initiatives and asset data remediation projects.
Assists in site selection by evaluating potential project sites with GIS tools.
Generates and maintains GIS maps, performs in-depth data analysis.
Develops tools to support quality control tracking and reporting.
Designs procedures to improve GIS mapping standards and efficiency.
Updates and maintains facilities maps and geospatial records across platforms.
Supports field data collection and GPS data gathering.
Ensures data accuracy and compliance with standards.
