Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Designer in Amery, WI to create and revise sketches, drawings and contract documents. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with remote Mondays and Fridays, and in-office Tuesday–Thursday, plus field work about 30% of the time.

Using GE SmallWorld GIS, you will design electric distribution solutions, read engineering drawings, and prepare 2D/3D models and bills of materials.

Qualifications

• Design and manage electric distribution projects.
• Interact with customers and coordinate project management.
• Perform transformer sizing and cable routing.
• Read SAP for new customer contacts.
• Field visits or design work using GIS.
• Read engineering drawings and specs.
• MS Office proficiency; GIS/AutoCAD a plus.
• Experience in electrical or utility fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and revise sketches, drawings and contract documents using SmallWorld GIS or manual drafting.
• Prepare 2D and 3D models and documentation to support design drawings.
• Prepare bills of material and project schedules; manage drawing transmittals.
• Read and interpret customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications.
