Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a qualified engineer to provide technical and operational support for natural gas facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will perform hydraulic modeling, specify materials and equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with operations and field teams.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Synergi Gas, and RSTRENG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology required.
• 3+ years of industry experience and/or training.
• Proficient knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations and CFR 49 Part 192.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering expertise on field projects and equipment specs.
• Direct oversight of pipeline design day model and requirements.
• Perform hydraulic modeling for distribution and transmission systems.
• Support new project development and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Assist with permitting and as-built record validation.
• Maintain and update engineering drawings and material specs.
