Job summary

Nourishing Hope in Chicago is seeking an Institutional Partnerships Associate to cultivate funders, coordinate high-impact events, and support donor relationships. The role blends prospect cultivation with hands-on event logistics, report writing, and collaboration with program staff.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with a 9am–5pm core day, requiring occasional evenings and weekends for donor meetings and events. Bachelor's degree and CRM experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to initiate and build relationships with prospective partners and interact with institutional representatives.
  • Experience coordinating fundraising activities, proposals, and donor communications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 50–100 funders and prospects at the $1,000–$10,000 level, supporting cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Coordinate event logistics for Nourishing Hope’s Gala and End Hunger Social, including ticketing, vendor coordination, and day-of execution, and manage third-party events and campaigns.
  • Serve as primary contact for local food drives and donor inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to fulfill partner needs.
  • Draft and coordinate written materials including proposals, sponsorship requests, impact summaries, and stewardship communications.
  • Own the stewardship of in-kind partners and identify new opportunities, coordinating with teams to align donations with needs.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce documentation: pipeline tracking, meeting notes, acknowledgments, follow-ups.
  • Represent Nourishing Hope in partner meetings and fundraising activities as needed.
  • Support peer-to-peer fundraising by helping with online pages, toolkits, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties to support department and organization goals.
