Job summary

ADNET Systems, Inc. is recruiting a full-stack web developer to support NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s General Coordinates Network (GCN) in Greenbelt, MD. You will build features for the GCN web app, extend the AWS-backed serverless stack, and contribute to testing.

You will also help develop the Kafka broker, the Circulars database, and search index, plus client libraries used by astronomers, while collaborating with NASA scientists and engineers on new features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a physical science (or equivalent degree).
• 3+ years of professional web development experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the full-stack GCN web application.
• Extend the serverless backend on AWS.
• Write and expand automated tests.
• Develop the Notices Kafka broker, the Circulars database and search index, and the client libraries used by astronomers.
• Collaborate with NASA scientists and engineers on new features.
