Job summary

Protara Therapeutics in New York, NY is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to partner with the Associate Director and the Finance team to drive forecasting, modeling, and financial analysis. You will manage the forecast and cash runway in Workday Adaptive Planning, prepare board materials, and contribute to strategic initiatives while ensuring strong controls and timely reporting.

This on-site role requires CPA, 3–5 years FP&A experience in biotech, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
• Minimum of three to five years in a financial planning or accounting role.
• Prior experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial plans to meet strategic goals by leading discussions with business owners.
• Review contracts and assess impact on forecast and cash runway.
• Incorporate Actuals into the forecast and perform variance analysis.
• Communicate forecast updates and variances to key stakeholders.
• Support operating and valuation models for new opportunities and due diligence.
• Prepare Board presentations and supporting materials.
