Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a detail-oriented Fixed Asset / Inventory Accountant in Chamblee, GA. The role partners with operations to manage fixed assets and inventory accounting, perform reconciliations, depreciation, journal entries, and support the monthly close.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. This full-time hybrid position offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting, inventory accounting, or a combination of both.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and communicate effectively with accounting and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the fixed asset subledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Prepare and record monthly fixed asset and inventory-related journal entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, adjustments, and variance analysis.
• Reconcile fixed asset and inventory subledgers to the general ledger.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Review capital expenditures and ensure appropriate classification and capitalization.
• Partner with operations and other departments to research asset and inventory activity.
