Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a full-time Fixed Asset Accountant to join our finance team in a hybrid work environment. You will manage asset lifecycles, perform depreciation calculations, and maintain asset master records while supporting intercompany transactions and monthly close processes.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business, and strong organizational and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business required.
1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
Willingness to learn and absorb information quickly.

Responsibilities

Account for asset-life functions including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
Maintain asset master records including depreciation methods and locations.
Process and reconcile license, insurance, and personal property tax programs.
Post journal entries and perform monthly asset-related GL reconciliations.
Handle intercompany lease transactions and special projects/analysis.
